History
The
Sierra Cyclesmith was borne out of many years of experience, building
bikes, racing, wrenching, and training athletes and commitment to
the sport. 1988 proved to be a year of profound growth and change
for Tim, taking into account all of those previous years of experience
and acumen, he founded Sierra Cyclesmith. This change allowed the
Greater Truckee Meadows to benefit from one of the most experienced
and knowledgeable cycling professionals in The United States. You'll
find this personal commitment with every employee and in every corner
of The Sierra Cyclesmith shop. With huge "Thanks" to our
many patrons, we begin our 14th year as a "shop of choice"
in Northern Nevada.

John Anastasakes
- John classifies himself as a casual cyclist. He's had an interest
in riding bikes ever since he outgrew his tricycle and fire engine
pedal-car. He comes to Sierra Cyclesmith with over ten years
of bicycle shop experience. He feels most at home when he is
riding his Specialized Enduro mountain bike in the Santa Cruz
mountains and around the trails of the South Bay Peninsula. In
addition to riding mountain and road bikes, John also enjoys
riding his beach-cruiser around the neighborhood. What John likes
most about working at Sierra Cyclesmith is the broad base of
customers who share the passion of cycling.

Marissa
Herold- Hi! My name is Marissa and I am a full-time college student
at UNR. I commute by bicycle, and can be found riding either
my French fixie or my road-bike. If I’m not
on my bicycle, you can probably find me either procrastinating
over reading/writing papers or running on a trail. I hope to complete
my first triathlon by the end of summer- 08, as well as a half-marathon
or two by late spring. I also intend on familiarizing myself with
some more trails on a mountain bike, and participating in some
group rides. Who knows, maybe I’ll even ride across the U.S.
upon completion of my degree! |
